Project Manager
Location: Milton Park, Abingdon

In this role, you will:
- Be responsible to the Programme Manager for several high-profile projects to deliver on time, quality, and budget for programme milestones.
- Regularly report project status to the Programme Manager
- Generate deliverables-based, integrated functional plans (timing and resource) to set timelines for the successful delivery of programme objectives to quality, time, and cost targets.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to set functional milestones in the plan to track progress.
- Maintain a plan in Microsoft Project or equivalent for each project
- Maintain a risk register for each project
- Report on each project slip against quality cost and time
- Manage subcontractors specific to projects
- Work with purchasing department to ensure correct information is issued to achieve on time delivery
- Contribute to lessons learned /quality issues
- Promote adherence to safe working practices in the delivery of programme activities
Requirements and attributes we value:
- Excellent communications skills both oral and written
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, planning, and organising skills
- Considerable experience in delivering complex technology product, construction and / or infrastructure programmes
- Experienced user of Microsoft Project and/or Agile programme management tools (e.g., Redmine)
- Knowledge and experience of engineering design and/or software development processes
- Effective communication (both oral and written), internally and externally
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Well-structured planning and resourcing for budget setting and management
- Teaching, supporting and leading others
- Engineering Degree
- APM qualified (to PFQ or PMQ level) or equivalent
